Local Rescues
Before calling a rescue to place your dog know that the vast majority of pet euthanasia in the US is due to lack of training and socialization.  Sometimes the answer to your pet problems are as simple as attending a group class or a few private sessions with a knowledgable, reputable trainer.  Either way, you have a responsibility to your pet to put forth an honest effort in fixing behavior problems before re-homing your pet.  The statistics show us that your pet, who you have become so attached to and love so much and you want the best possible life for, will most likely change homes several times before ending up being euthanized. 

If you feel you you have no other option but to find your pet another home then try contacting one of the following rescue organizations listed, but be prepared, they are often maxed out.  Lied euthanizes dogs 3-7 days after going up for adoption.  Odds are your dog won't leave through the front door...
